[Short Korean Film] 외톨꽃/Foreign Petals

외톨꽃 or Foreign Petals is a film about a teenager’s struggle after the death of a friend amidst threats from the strong Korean hierarchical system. This was written, produced and directed by my friend Mon Garilao who is currently studying at University of Seoul.

I met Mon when we were still applying for our University’s Korean-Filipino friendship org. Eventually, both of us deferred our application. He’s a BA Film major and he also said that he’s very interested with Korean movies so he decided to apply for an exchange student program in Korea. Luckily, he got accepted in University of Seoul and now, he has just finished his short Korean film! I asked him if I can share the link of his short movie here on my blog and he agreed! Please try to watch his short film! Don’t worry, there are English subtitles!

All petals fall off naturally, and we are all petals falling.
“외톨꽃” (Foreign Petals) is my first coming-of-age korean short film.
